Two Weekends Down – Two State Winners Crowned!

Our latest titleholder is none other than CAROLINE CARTER, MISS NEW HAMPSHIRE!!!

Caroline is the 2nd former Outstanding Teen state titleholder to be named her state winner this year – She was Miss NHOT 2014 when she was only 16 years old!  Now, at the ripe old age of 18, she’s headed to Miss America!!!

The remainder of the Top 5 included: 1st RU Lauren Percy, 2nd RU Katie Smith, 3rd RU Mariah LaRoque and 4th RU Katie Masso-Glidden. If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s a video of Caroline’s preliminary talent winning performance 🙂 THE GIRL CAN SING!!!

Junkies offer BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Caroline – She’s the PERFECT example of someone who is uber-talented, well-spoken, and even at the age of 18, she must’ve handled her very first Miss New Hampshire week like a charm! She certainly had our attention, even though we didn’t have her name listed among our Top 5 picks…

Regarding our results – It’s no secret Junkies have struggled to pick accurate winners for Miss New Hampshire… Over the past 4 years of making predictions, we’re officially 1/4 (lol – actually – that’s really painful to write).  There’s no other state in the union that has our number like New Hampshire! Gotta get back on track in 2017!

Overall, we ended up only 1 for 5 (accurately picked Lauren Percy in the top 5).  That means, although we picked Miss Maine last week, we’re 50/50 right now, and we need to seriously step up our game before next week’s Miss Nevada competition!

Hey Junkies!

And just like that – We now know our first contestant for the title of Miss America 2017! It’s MARYBETH NOONAN – MISS MAINE!!!

Marybeth was previously named Miss Maine Outstanding Teen 2010 – and she is the second former OT winner to capture the Maine crown (Kristin Korda being the first).

Junkies are pretty excited to say we tapped both Marybeth and the First Runner Up Katherine Rushlau, in our predictions – Which means, 2016 is off to a pretty great start!  Congrats to both Marybeth and Katherine – Along with the other amazing ladies who competed at Miss Maine yesterday!  It’s great to kick off state pageant season and see our first winner!

Sooooooooooooo… If Marybeth is the first – that means we have 51 more names to discover! And NEXT weekend, we’ll be crowning the second member of the Miss America class of 2017 – It’s Miss New Hampshire Week – and Junkies can’t wait to see who takes the Miss NH 2016 title!

This one won’t be easy… New Hampshire appears to have some amazing contestants this year – And there’s usually a “surprise sleeper” or two who come out of nowhere in New Hampshire, just to keep things interesting 🙂
