Lindsey Petrosh received a once in a lifetime opportunity… She was there when Miss America announced we would be returning to Atlantic City! Can you imagine being a part of such a huge announcement?!?  That’s something no other Miss NJ can claim!!!

As a former NJ Outstanding Teen, Lindsey had the chance to represent New Jersey at both Miss America and MAOTeen.  Now a grad student at Rowan University, Lindsey looks forward to having the Miss NJ title be a ‘stepping stone’ to even greater things in her life… and the Junkies wish her all the best!

Whoever wins the Miss New Jersey Crown this year will have the honor of serving as the host state for Miss America come September!  A great opportunity for one special lady from The Garden State!  Good Luck to All!!! 

Alexis Wineman had to be one of the best stories at Miss America this year.  Not only was she the youngest contestant at Miss America last year, and the first contestant at Miss America ever to have Autism, but she was also voted into the semi-finals as “America’s Choice:

PS – Cortney and Chantell are sisters who formed a band!  They both sing; Cortney plays the Guitar and Chantell plays the drums (Unfortunately, we have no clue what they’ll be performing for their talents)

Jordyn Coalo graduated Magna Cume Laude from Penn State in bio-behavoral health in the Spring of 2012 before winning the Miss Pennsylvania title… so… she’s pretty smart. 🙂  And if you don’t remember how beautiful she is, you’re crazy.  Can you imagine having this hottie in your operating room in a few years??? 

Miss PA has 5 Miss America wins under their belts… However, they haven’t crowned a winner since 1953.  This year could be crazy — Lots of Girls could win because we see this as a pretty open field of contestants.  Here’s our Best Shot!

Angela Venditti is one of the few queens who won her state pageant last year, but wasn’t on our ‘watch list’ (which goes to prove, you can ‘take it or leave it’ when it comes to our opinions – that’s all they are… opinions!)… But the 3rd time proved to be the charm for Angela as Miss Michigan 2012…

And despite the fact she wasn’t on our original list, she ‘wowed’ us like crazy when we saw her on stage with one of our beloved Mis Americas… Kaye Lani Rae Rafko (see left)!  Kaye Lani was in Vegas celebrating her 25th Anniversary as Miss America (how is that possible???) and looked crazy-fabulous herself in her “Silver Anniversary’ gown!  If all our Miss Americas could look this way or better 25 years post-crowning, what a testament that would be!

This year’s Miss Michigan is CRAZY STACKED with returnees and girls who could take it all… Trust us, researching Miss MI took much longer than most other states – We wanna get this one right this year 🙂

I have a feeling, if Siri Freeh were the actual brains behind the ‘Siri’ on my I-Phone… I wouldn’t have so much trouble trying to find what i want from my phone!  The Siri known as Miss Minnesota 2012 is a super-smarty pants, STEM advocate, and very easy to talk to (unlike my phone).  

Siri was another contestant who battled a cold during Miss America week, but pressed on to ‘be a light’ in whatever way she could.  A 4.0 Nursing Student at the University of Minnesota, we know this future ‘cardiovascular queen’ will continue to shine regardless of her location. 🙂

The Junkies wish we could be at the “Crowns and Gowns Gala” taking place during Miss Minnesota week… Siri alongside Gretchen Carlson (Miss America 1989), Dorothy Benham (Miss America 1977) and BeBe Shopp (Miss America 1948 – Celebrating her 65th Anniversary!!!) will all be a part of a fabulous evening designed to raise funds for the Miss Minnesota scholarship program.  We can’t wait to see pictures of the whole evening!!!

There are certainly several other girls who should do very well, but when it comes to the crown, we see this as a Dead-Even Sprint between these 3 ladies!  Will be amazing see who comes out on top! 🙂
